New European treaty has implications for the U.S.

Last month, European leaders from the 27 member states of the European Union signed a new reform treaty in Lisbon to replace the EU Constitution, which was rejected by French and Dutch voters in 2005. Although the EU reform treaty has been conspicuously absent from the radar screen in the U.S. media, it relaunches the EU, with significant implications for the U.S.-Europe relationship. more
